South Riverside
Around 1990, people had drifted away from the
south riverside, it was no longer an appealing promenade, it had
turned into a rejected area.
In October 1990 the Government of Buenos Aires
city, signed an agreement with the "Corporación Antiguo
Puerto Madero S.A." (Old Puerto Madero Corporation) to implement
measures to revitalize the old south riverside. The works were
put out to tender.
